v2.4Multi-workspace workspaces

Less software,
more work.

A task manager that doesn't ask for your attention.

What is Taskwich

A task tool for people who'd rather be doing the work.

Most task managers sell you on features. We'd rather sell you less. Taskwich ships one view, one mental model, and a keyboard shortcut for nearly everything.

Three columns. That's it.
Selectors, task list, detail. Everything you need stays in view — no tabs, no modals hiding your context.
Multi-tenant from day one
Separate workspaces, projects, and members. Task numbers are scoped per-project so #141 never collides.
Keyboard-first
Create a task in C, switch status in S, assign in A. If your hand left the keyboard, we've failed.
Flat subtasks, one level
Children are plain tasks with a parent_id. No rabbit-holes of nested work you'll never see again.
Watch, don't be watched
Follow the tasks you care about. No activity dashboards, no "reply in 4 hours" pressure counters. Just what changed.
Customisable statuses
Your workspace picks the lifecycle. We ship five defaults (todo → in progress → review → done), but it's your call.
The detail view

One task, everything you need.

Comments for the team, notes just for you, and an append-only history for when someone asks "wait, when did that change?"

Migrate task_counter to per-workspace sequence
In progressUrgentKAKaiOverdue · Oct 8backenddb
Description

The task counter currently uses a global sequence across all workspaces. Migrate it to a per-workspace sequence so task numbers start at #1 within each project.

Subtasks

Add per-workspace counter table #141.1
Backfill existing workspaces #141.2
Deprecate legacy_counter column #141.3

Schema migration looks good. Can you add a rollback for the legacy_counter column before we merge?

On it. Pushing a follow-up PR tonight — will tag you for review.

FYI — staging seed is already using the new sequence. Safe to deploy anytime after #141.2 lands.

Frequently asked

Questions we get asked a lot.

Why no Kanban / calendar / timeline view?
Because every view you add is another decision you have to make. Taskwich is list-first and optimised for reading a long list of work quickly. If you need a Gantt chart, we're probably not the right tool.
Can I import from Linear / Jira / Asana / Notion?
Yes. We support CSV import today and have native connectors for Linear and Jira in beta. Ping us if you need another one — we'll usually build it within a week.
Does Taskwich have AI features?
Intentionally not. We ship one auto-summary on long comment threads and that's it. The product is quiet on purpose — you shouldn't need an AI to tell you what your own tasks mean.
Is there an API?
Yes — a REST API with per-workspace keys and a TypeScript SDK. Every field you see in the UI is available, including statuses, labels, and watcher lists.
How much does it cost?
Free for up to 3 members. $8/user/month for teams. Self-hosted available for organisations that need it. No seat math, no per-feature tiers.
